Chelsea Young, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Lawrenceville, born and raised
Chelsea Young, PA-C

She has been at Ivy League Pediatrics since 2018, and families ask for her by name.

What parents say about her is remarkably consistent: she does not make you feel silly for asking.

She would tell you that is the point. No concern is insignificant.

Why children

I always wanted to do pediatric medicine. My mother worked at CHOA in the NICU, and I loved visiting and shadowing the doctors in that unit.

Kids are fun and resilient.

What happens in the room

She gets down to their level. Literally.

Being patient with the child, allowing them space until they are more comfortable — and often squatting, getting down to their level.

Let's discuss it, and figure out together what we can do.

She listens, above all, for what she calls the mom instinct.

I am ready to hear your list of concerns, and no concern is insignificant — even if you feel it is not important.

What a physician assistant does

Chelsea is licensed to examine and diagnose your child, treat them, and prescribe medication. She practises alongside our physicians and consults them whenever a case calls for it — which, in a practice this size, is a conversation across a hallway.

When she is not here

She has two children — a boy and a girl — and a dog.

Sewing. Paddleboarding. Refinishing furniture, and more or less any DIY project she can get her hands on. Tennis.

And, mostly: anything active with the kids.

She was once a stand-in on the set of the Netflix series Ozark.

What parents say about Chelsea

She makes me feel comfortable with talking to her about every little thing and doesn't make me feel judged and as a first time mom there's nothing better than that.

A parent, on Google

She's very kind and patient and has kids of her own so she can relate in all areas!

…I'm not even sure if I really want to post this because I don't want everyone to start booking with her and I can't get in lol.
